1. What one thing did you do better today?
I overcame my teary morning and went for a run despite the rain. It seems so appropriate to choose this small act for my day 1 as running is something that is still often outside my comfort zone.

2. Has doing so made you or someone else feel better?
Both. My day actually started gloomy, I was already crying before 10 am. Later I was planning to see a friend but she could only meet me in two hours. At first I thought that will mess up my non existing plans and nah, I can only meet her straight away or not today. Then I worked my schedule around it, took advantage of what seemed like two extra hours, went for a run and met her in time suitable for her. We ended up having one of the most amazing conversations to date, we opened up, connected and I ended up feeling grateful above all. To have pushed myself to run the extra mile and to have this friend in my life.

3. Has it brought any new realisations?
Definitely not new but reaffirmed once again – running clears my head and I feel amazing afterwards. Proud of myself, more comfortable in my body and somehow it even smoothly makes me a nicer person to the people around. It did turn into a new rule though – if I cry before 10 am, I have to go for a run that day, despite how much I don’t feel like it.
