1. What one thing did you do better today?
I took time to be inspired and read the recent letter on growth by Garance Dore. I have been following her works for years now. It started with my strong interest in her illustrations and now I mostly follow her for her written work, heartwarming letters that cease to amaze and move me through words.
2. Has doing so made you or someone else feel better?
Me and I do encourage you to read her letter if you feel like in search of some life inspiration, touching and honest words of wisdom.
3. Has it brought any new realisations?
I will share a glimpse of her letter, it sure answers to new realisations and what I took from it. “For me, depression was above all what motivated me in my quest for health – both physical and mental – because our bodies and minds are one in the same. But it was also the permission I needed to accept that it was time to take care of myself. That I needed to heal, listen to myself, create rituals, and find new tools. That’s what growing up means to me. Finally realizing that you’re not superhuman. And that you are your own parent, that the priority should be taking care of yourself before jumping into the race of life. And growing up is finally understanding that joy isn’t for tomorrow.”
