1. What one thing did you do better today?
I had one if those days when feeling good about myself doesn’t come so easy and naturally. One of those days when making decisions is hard, as my mood changes quickly (eventhough just slightly). One of those days when I needed to remind myself I AM ENOUGH. And I did. Repeatedly.
2. Has doing so made you or someone else feel better?
Me and possibly everyone I came across today.
3. Has it brought any new realisations?
I try to notice moments of haunting thoughts of not being enough as soon as they happen and try to change the way I talk to myself immediately. When I do not feel good about my body, to not judge it but to try to accept it the way it is, right now. When I feel like I am not good enough, successful enough, loving enough, happy enough, to shift my perception right in that moment. Reminding myself “I am enough” – RIGHT NOW, as I am, not in 5 years time when I will … dot dot dot, achieve that one thing I am not satisfied with at that moment is the first act towards light. What helps me as well is to read or listen to Brene Brown which is what I did today. To remember that owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest act we will ever do. That to live and love wholeheartedly does not mean reaching an end goal. It means walking towards a star on the sky as Brene says. We will never fully reach it but we will sure know we are headed in the right direction. Gifts such as courage, compassion, connection only work if we strengthen them. Every day. So do remind yourself when needed or just so – YOU ARE ENOUGH.
