Instead of giving in to comfort food cravings I made a healthy salad and used up home grown spinach which I would otherwise have to throw away soon.

3. Has it brought any new realisations?
I used to not be a fan of eating a salad. Especially not the green base one. I used to think it was one of the most boring food / dishes – the one you eat purely for health benefits and not for enjoyment. Then as I recently started to cook / prepare food more, discover and learn new recipes, I came across many interesting looking salads. I gave it another try and am so far succeeding in making a salad super tasty and colourful. Of course still healthy and green but I realised as long as there is some sort of cheese, nuts or dried tomatoes included, it feels like a good compromise and balance between health and enjoyment. This time it was loads of home grown spinach topped with pears, feta cheese, peanuts, orange juice.
