1. What one thing did you do better today?
I opened up to joy. That great joy that I am sometimes afraid of surrendering to, as it often comes in pair with a fear of the joy ending. I turned what could have been a three hour drive home from the seaside on the highway into half a day of road tripping on breathtaking local roads, discovering inspiring little villages on the way, stopping for an almost sunset gaze. And the main difference was that it could have been a sad ending to a short getaway as tomorrow is Monday and time to get back to reality but today it seems the dream is not ending with the weekend. I am surrendering to joy and not ruining it with the “what if’s” when it might end.
2. Has doing so made you or someone else feel better?
Me plus one.
3. Has it brought any new realisations?
Continue to open up to joy in whatever form life brings it to you. Don’t let the fear of dark stop you from enjoying the light. And remember, it is not joy that makes us grateful. It is gratitude that makes us joyful. So grateful for these amazing days at the seaside. Grateful for today. Grateful for the week ahead. Also for this project and all of you, dear readers.
